Lt Col (Ret) Todd Beer
Recruited
in 1982 by the United States Air Force Academy to play
basketball, Todd Beer entered the Armed Forces for what
turned into a twenty-four year career. He overcame his fear
of flying while at the Academy and went on to become a pilot
for Air Force One. He flew Air Force One for President
Clinton and President George W. Bush and has flown each
former president since Jimmy Carter.
For the last 7 of his 24
years in the Air Force, Todd was a member of the Air Force
One team. His travels took him around the world and he was a
part of many historical missions. He flew during two
Presidential campaigns, was involved in President Bush’s
surprise Thanksgiving visit to Baghdad and flew during the
terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
Todd’s
message includes his recollections of memorable moments
aboard the world’s most recognizable aircraft and the
leadership, teamwork and the dedication to excellence
required to be successful.
